We drove early today and it was a shiny drive. Everything from Dubuque south appeared to made of glass.
The news has been true, the ice is thick and most trees are suffering under the load.
Today as temperatures warmed icicles were falling from the trees like rain. We checked out the course this afternoon and it's an absolute muddy mess already, all I can do now is hope it stays that way or gets worse.
No pictures of that though, just the icy trees and fields along the way, something you don't see too often and helped make the journey interesting.
This will make it more interesting.
