Belgium Day 3

That's no bike path, that's a double lane road

Today we were out early again and rode to where they are racing today in Zonebeke. It was super windy again and when the road is only wide enough to go three wide you know you're in Belgium.
I'm not sure if we'll make it to the race today to spectate or not, it's not really up to us, but if we do make I'll try and get some pictures of it up here. We stopped at the course on the way through today and a little Jr. rider (with no helmet) came cruising through, bike and face just covered in mud and a mohawked mullet gelled perfectly on his head. The next Tom Boonen or Nys? They teach em young here.
I guess what makes the race today interesting is that part of it is run through some original world war I trenches. There is a big museum there were they preserve part of it, but the race is run through the park and surrounding area.

Last night we received lessons in directions here. You do not go say east or west on highway 350 to get to a particular city, you go to this town, then this town, then this town, then this town until you arrive at your destination. You don't go east for 3 miles, turn right for another 3 to get there, you simply follow signs to the next city in line. Kinda like connect the dots. Interesting. Say tried telling us it is much simpler than in the US but I had a hard time believing them. It is possible though.
